Meaningful notes for anyone in recovery August 6, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This Bible is the missing link for both me and my husband--I am a recovering co-dependent and he is a recovering alcoholic. It has touched each of us deeply. The commentary throughout aligns with the 12 steps. Awesome!!!

Awesome bible April 22, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
If reading the bible was hard for you, then this is the bible to get. The new living translation is great, I feel like finally I can understand what God is saying to me in the bible. This bible would be great even if I wasn't in recovery!
The Bible Makes Sense Now February 24, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is an excellent blend of bible knowledge, history and the Twelve Step Program process. I enjoy reading the Bible and appreciate the historical and social details explaining the times people lived in and their cultural reasonings and reactions to the Bible's narrative. The added bonus is the 12 Step Program structure that is used to bolster on spiritual life and give hope to our daily difficulties and problems. I am really glad I bought it. I feel comfortable in reading it and thinking about the lessons and advice the Bible give us.
Best Christian view of the Twelve Steps December 16, 2005 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
I have been clean and sober for more than 25 years and after I became a Christian, I looked for something that would help tie the two together. Generally I have been disapointed, the things I found clearly did not really understand the Steps. But when I got this Bible I no longer needed to search.
This Bible shows an understanding of the Bible, Christianity and an understanding of how the Twelve Steps really work in my life. Every time I pick up the Life Recovery Bible I find things that speak to me, inspire me and help me live life on life's terms. I recommend this to people I sponsor and have bought copies to give away. I love this book.
