Fabulous, Real Eye Opener. Everyone with a brain should read this book
One of the best! May 12, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is the second book I've purchased from Thomas Lucier, and I wasn't disappointed by either one. He has a no-nonsense, matter of fact style that is full of usefull information without the "fluff" or other bragging other authors of real estate books seem to use to fill the pages of their books. I would recommend any of his books to the beginning or even experienced investor that wants to have a reference book handy and learn the details of how the business works. And no bull-spit!
Read This Book Before You Invest!! May 1, 2007 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is one of the best books that I've ever read on real estate investing. The No-Nonsense Real Estate Investor's Kit should be mandatory reading for all real estate investors in America! Tom Lucier provides tons of detailed information and practical advice along with realistic investment strategies that make sense. Plus, Lucier tells you all about the things that can go wrong, and how to best protect yourself. This book is every bit as good as his pre-foreclosure and options books.
WHERE'S THE REST OF THE BOOK? April 22, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
When I read the table of contents, I thought this book covered it all and ordered it immediately. Then I began reading and realized the whole book was like an EXTENDED table of contents with 3 or 4 sentences devoted to each topic. You will need many more books to get an understanding of any one concept presented here. Maybe that's exactly what Mr. Lucier was counting on....
Author wasn't helpful in the least bit March 21, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This book has a lot of regurgitated material from the author's first two books. As he suggested in his book, I wrote and asked the author several follow-up questions to issues he raised in the book. His response was brief and very curt. He either couldn't or wouldn't explain his positions. If you must read the book, I would suggest obtaining a library edition of the book and do not fall for any of his coaching offers. I would anticipate that you'll get very little help for the fees he charges.
