If you didn't know, now you know. A+ Book May 2, 2007 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I'm very wary of purchasing books or any material on the subject of flipping houses. The few books that I did purchase by chance where vague, all flash and no substance. This book IS the one book you need to buy to get it together and start flipping. You will learn a systematic and logical approach to lead generation, purchase, rehab and selling properties. If you are considering a business or have just started a home "flip" business, this book will serve as great business model to emmulate. If you ever had reservations about home flipping, this book will help eliviate some concerns and reveal knowledge that is not available in most books or online.
Common sense with necessary tools May 2, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I found this book very interesting and full of good suggestions and tips. I have been a real estate broker for the past 20 years and have been rehabbing single family properties for the past three years. A lot of the information is common sense but the authors provide a well designed plan to increase the chances for flipping success. Knowing the steps in the process prevents the costly expenses associated with having to redo work because a crucial step was missed or overlooked.
As someone suggested earlier, I also recommend one gets their real estate license. Surely as a means to learn the laws, gain experience with real estate transactions and having 24-7 access to the MLS, but also to earn a commission on everything you purchase.
I can highly recommend this book as one of the best when it comes to defining the process and guiding you through the steps.
A must read!!! May 2, 2007 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This book is the bible of home flipping. I am currently doing my first flip and I am using this book as a step by step. It was easy to read, written for the actual home flipper. I don't think I would have the guts to pursue flipping if it we not for this book. An absolute must read for anyone even thinking of flipping or renovating a house.
THE BEST BOOK ON THE TOPIC OF INVESTMENT REAL ESTATE! April 30, 2007 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I am a seasoned real estate investor in the Raleigh, NC area. Over the last six years my business partner and I have purchased, rehabbed, and sold several properties all the while reading numerous books and literature about investment real estate/rehabbing. It wasn't until I discovered FLIP that I realized I need not buy another book on the topic! Rick and Clay's expertise on the industry is truly amazing. We now commonly refer to it as "The Book."
FLIP's Must-Do's, Four Design & Finish Levels, and The Fifty Steps to Rehabbing are a few tools that we have implemented to give our company a more systematic approach to analyzing potential investment properties. Utilizing the FLIP systems has enabled us to refine our business and to make more precise investment decisions at every Stage of the investing process--from Finding to Selling.

This book should be required reading for new investors April 21, 2007 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I have been involved with Real Estate investing for over 20 years. I wish this book was around when I first started. It would have accelerated my understanding of the flipping process & made me a lot more money by staying disciplined. The strength of the book is the logical, well thought out format focusing on systems and structure that breaks down the "anatomy" of a Flip.
The book really addresses the fundamentals of a succesful flip & the proper mindset need to be a successful "unemotional" investor.
Rick & Clay have done a terriffic job in uncovering the mystery of understanding the rehab process.
Their success is obviously due to their focus on developing clear predicable models to deliver results.
