Amazing insights December 2, 2005 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I found this book, like all the ones I've read by Rose Rosetree, to be witty, insightful, and very useful. When reading this book, keep in mind that reading faces isn't just a formula, which is a point that Ms. Rosetree makes. The whole face needs to be considered, since it is a reflection of the soul as a whole. I use face reading often, and it's amazing how accurate it is. In addition to the companion book WRINKLES ARE GOD'S MAKEUP, I strongly suggest reading AURA READING THROUGH ALL YOUR SENSES. Combining aura reading with face reading is a very powerful tool and provides a far more complete picture.
Almost useless May 1, 2005 34 out of 44 found this review helpful
The author tries so hard not to offend anybody, that she puts too positive spin on every possibly negative interpretation and overemphasizes what would already be considered as a positive one. Also, I found the most interpretations just inaccurate. Examples from nose chapter: short nose - workaholic long nose - talent for planning and strategy straight nose - you work systematically arched nose - creativity ... Ok, of course you are supposed to interpret everything and put it all together, eliminating contradictions on the way, but the book falls short on instructions how to do that. There should be a chapter titled "putting it together" where the author should explain the process of face reading: what to look first? how to determine basic information about a person and go from there? Instead the book focuses on details without giving you the big picture.
Full of gems for both Tabloid readers and Intellectuals. January 21, 2005 17 out of 32 found this review helpful
I'll let it speak for itself: "...unibrows, they go with nonstop thinking... Insomnia may be a problem. Therefore, a unibrow is one physical face trait I recommend changing. Tweeze. Try electrolysis."
"I challenge you. Search any organization. Regardless of job title, social lineage, or pay scale, the ones who work hardest, day in and day out, are the ones with the shortest noses."
"...people with overbites... They're eager, sometimes overeager to please--at least unless they spend years retraining and restraining this impulse through orthodontia."
"Rosetree" is a clever lady.
Will Keep You Coming Back January 30, 2004 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
Mrs. Rosetree does a great job at explaining really detailed and profound messages from what human facial features mean. Which is really hard to do. She gives life into areas where if they were explained any other way it would be hard to picture much less detail, specifically. The pictures aren't real live photos but the drawings are good to just give a general idea of certain areas. Celebrity examples help a lot because they are really easy to obtain their pictures and see the facial feature mentioned. You'll find yourself noticing face traits during the day while conversing with people. Face Reading is a great tool to know why exactly you picked your body and how to notice other people's talents as they relate to your own. Reading faces helps you better understand yourself and people you encounter. It's like reading a person's physical soul-make the physical part of their blueprint. It's always fun to test what you learn. It truly works and really is helpful.Hopefully one day she'll put out another face traits book, just the little quirky things that are always nice to know but she has covered most of them. Highly recommended.
Learning About Ourselves December 28, 2003 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
Rose is a rare individual who has refined and explainded the art of face reading for all to use to get to know others better and more quickly. She has taken an art form that has existed for thousands of years and made it available to all without years of tedious study. Her book is easy to read in sections or in whole. You can become a face reader to the extent you desire with this informative text guiding you in your progression.I would recommend this book to any and all. It helps me to target my conversation to others in a manner that is tailored to their thought patterns, ability to process data, and their trust level. I would also recommend reading her Wrinles Are God's Makeup as a great foloow up to this great book.
