Even though I'm an experienced real estate owner, The Real Estate Survival Guide helped me prepare and maximize a recent sale home sale transaction - in a tough market. I'm now using what I learned to make an intelligent purchase. The book was fun and easy to read. I highly recommend it to anyone invovled in real estate, from experienced homeowners to first-time buyers.

Quick read, but I can assure you that you will want to keep it on hand from start to finish during you home buying/selling experience, whether your first or tenth time around. Full of great tips, mysteries solved and questions answered...and a few laughs.

Having both bought and sold homes I have found both daunting. Thanks to this book both will be easier in the future. I have read the book and highly recommend it to friends either considering buying or selling a home. It will save you money and time. Wish I had it sooner.

Buying your first home can be a daunting task, but this quick-reading Real Estate Survival Guide has made my current experience so much easier. I know what questions to ask, what resources to reference and have been able to avoid many of the mistakes/traps first time buyers tend to make. No matter where you live across the country or how many moves you've made, you will discover quite a few "ah ha" moments while reading this book. I highly recommend this guide.

5 out of 5 stars And I thought I knew it all...   June 18, 2007

Over the last 25 years I have bought and sold 8 homes (in 5 different states) and thought I knew my way around a real estate transaction. But after reading this well written, east-to-read and and insightful book I'm exceeding better armed to buy my next home. I highly recommend the "Survival Guide" to anyone no matter if they are buying or selling their first home or a multi-million dollar property.
