A financial 'how-to' book instead of mere theory... August 27, 2008

Secrets To Creating Passive Income and becoming financially free (Revenue Beyond) I bought my version on the kindle store, but I wanted to review it here too.
I found the book Secrets to Creating Passive Income to be full of information, ideas and PRACTICAL APPLICATION. I found out about so many resources out on the internet (and around the block) that are willing to pay you for things that are easy to create or things you already have that you probably take for granted.
All you need to do is to first brainstorm your ideas using the methods outlined in the book, then organize and prioritize them (because you'll have more than you can possibly ever actually do). Then pick your 'lowest hanging fruit' or the one easiest to implement and get started. Some of the ideas have immediate returns.
This isn't the typical finance book teaching you where to invest stocks or real estate (in fact they barely touch on the subject except in passing) - instead, this book teaches you how to invest in yourself using your time and create things that are readily salable in today's marketplace by creating win/win situations. Note: If you want a stock or real estate investment book - don't buy this one.
If you want to create a money machine (or several money machines), then buy this book! You'll be glad you did. They guarantee it!

This is the first book I've ever returned to Amazon. In my opinion it's absolute rubbish.. and certainly not worth anywhere near the $24.95 price tag. I think the only "Financial Freedom" you're contributing to are the authors.
The ideas presented were seriously simple-minded. Like "write a book", "MLM", etc. And when they got into Stock Market or Real Estate investing, it basically told you nothing, and their recommendations are to either more of their books, their friends' books, or others through the publisher's website (via handy provided URL link).
Just be forewarned before ordering this book. Really not much substance to it at all.
Total Fluff.

Seems I've stirred up a bees nest. The same people writing the same 5-star reviews don't care for mine. All somehow affiliated with the "Books To Believe In" company. They're now browbeating me because I'm a "non-believer" who wrote an honest review for a product that I believe is garbage. I must have missed the chapter on "Start a Cult". And thanks for all the name-calling. Nice crowd. Shows a lot of respect. And thanks for trolling my other reviews as well. Do you make additional passive income for knocking other people's opinions on Amazon?
I have read lots of books on investing.. and I was NOT looking for one on stock or RE investing. I have tons. What I WAS looking for was something different. And in my opinion this book offered NOTHING of any substance.
If it works for you, great. But for others, you may want to dig deeper before shelling out $24.95.

If you've ever needed to earn some extra money but didn't know how you were gonna do it - GET THIS BOOK! The heck with financial freedom, it is life changing just to have a few extra hundred a month come in. I'll build to the financial freedom model within the next year or so, because it is so doable!
The book helps you brainstorm your own genius then shows you how to apply it on the net and in the real world. It helps you tally your assets, things you used to take for granted, now can help make you money - every month - consistently.
It was easy to read and the ideas were easy to get and the implementation and paychecks virtually immediate!
Everyone comes away with money making ideas - but no two could possibly be the same... June 11, 2008

This book is intended to get your creative thinking going. The ideas spawned from the exercises and stories inside these pages are all so uniquely your own, that there is no way two people could have the same experience reading it, not even husbands and wives.
The deal is, it is simple to create passive income streams. EJ & John told you their stories, tactics and put the plan right there in front of you on these pages. Because the ideas are simple, many are actually very 'small,' yet yield big rewards. So, you can do a bunch of them and add it all up to get to your financial freedom goal!
If you're struggling right now, you owe it to yourself to get this. You'll free yourself from the struggle and find your way all the way to freedom!
No longer at the mercy of the legislators... March 22, 2008

As a state employee, I have to wait for the legislature every year to vote whether or not we state employees 'deserve' a raise. At best, it is a cost of living raise maybe 3-4%. We cheered when we received it, but usually, it still only amounted to maybe $50 more a paycheck. Frankly, the system for government employees stinks. A stereotype also exists for us that we are unmotivated, because of situations I describe above, but our jobs are pretty secure and in this economy, that means alot.
But the stuff in this book... I can do without risk of my job - in fact, it just might get me a promotion if I do right! I can make more than what the legislature 'blesses' us with each year with almost every single idea in the book. There are so many; not just ideas, plans and resources too. Whether or not your goal is financial freedom, this book can help you make more money in your current situation.
With the economy in it's current mess, this book is must-read for all! If you don't need it, someone you know does!!!
I recommend it highly!
